The Team

Nick Lapaglia is kind of a weapon when it comes to moving two wheels across a desert. First introduced to Deus by his good pal Forrest, Nick has become the face of the Deus team who compete in the Baja races throughout the year. Smooth in nature, handsome in tank loads and rides like a man possessed.

Born and raised in Huntington Beach, California by parents from New Zealand and India, Ciaran is an action sport enthusiast with an old soul. Growing up in a beach town heavily influenced by the surf and skate culture, he quickly gravitated towards that lifestyle, but with a father who was heavily involved in automotive racing it was only a matter of time before he became a gearhead. Ciaran started racing nationally when he was 8 years old, racing everything from desert to pro nationals. Along the way he learned to make anything with wheels work better than it did when it started.

Forrest’s lifestyle reflected the Deus ethos in mirror-like perfection: surfer-shaper- er-meets motorcycle addict, and a symbiosis emerged. Filming the closing segments of the Deus project, South to Sian, Dustin invited Forrest along for the ride. The Deus team didn’t know what to expect of the young Californian, but he proceeded to blow their minds with his proficiency on a dirt bike on sand.
